“Wealth doesn’t make you happy, but happiness increases your likelihood of becoming wealthy… it seems like successful people– of course they’d be happy! But we found that the greatest predictor of entrepreneurial success is optimism… they have that belief that their behavior matters and that optimism made them more successful.”
The Happiness Advantage author and Harvard professor Shawn Achor takes easy-to-understand science and research to flip the age-old thinking of happiness on its head.

Thank you Shawn and Darren for this great video.
I have been in a depression mode for the past 6 months and I have been searching of ways to cure it. Reading a lot of self-improvement books, talking with friends; but those activities doesn’t really help me to cure my depression.
Until I heard what you said about all those little exercises of the brain. I have a good feeling that this will help me with my depression

[To Jayde] If the video is in Adobe Flash, it won’t play on Apple devices natively.
Thanks Shawn for bringing this to a short video. It also supports the “law of attraction” that was presented on the Oprah Show as “The Secret”. The secret being that positives attract positives. People who are happy are positive. People who are positive, attract the things in life that make them happy because it results in them doing the right conditions for happiness to follow. The brain is amazing, but we have a long way to go before we understand it. That should be the frontier that science pursues to unlock.

I believe Shawn has it figured out. I know people who are very Happy and uplifting and they are successful and on the other hand i know of some people that are very negative that complain daily about literally everything and it reflects in their life.
