As featured in the September 2011 issue, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, better known as “America’s Rabbi,” says he is on a mission to fix America. In this exclusive interview with SUCCESS publisher Darren Hardy, Rabbi Shmuley explains that Americans will never truly be happy until they learn to celebrate the everyday, little victories in life.

Rabbi Shmuley, I really enjoyed your audio feature in Success magazine this month. The wisdom you share will really help me as I am raising my young family, building my two businesses and just trying to stay afloat as I get going. My wife and I seek Godly wisdom from gifted people such as you. The “Friday Family night” is a great idea, where going to try it. God Bless you sir.

Rabbi Schmuley is spot on! Too often we focus on what is missing rather then what is present. It is our choice to see all the Blessings we enjoy or to walk blinded to them.
Keep bringing your solid wisdom to the world.

I enjoyed your interview with Rabbi Schmuley and especially the comments about the family night at home with all the electronic devices turned off. I kind of smile, its such a great idea, but not a new one! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has had this practice for years. We call it Family Home Evening and it is a time when we can come togethre as a family, turn off the outside world, and share ideas, create new projects, have a fun activity, and many more things. Many LDS hold it on Monday nights but any night that is convenient will do. We have done this for years with our children and it has helped us grow closer. We also have a family council once a week where we talk over family issues, plans, problems, etc. Everyone attends and everyone has a vote. It helps everyone feel a part of what happens in and to our family.
