I really enjoyed watching this video of Ron Howard. If you are a baby boomer (like me) you grew up with Ron Howard by watching him perform in television shows like Andy Griffth and Happy Days. You also watched him perform as an actor in numerous movies.
I agree, if you are a creator like Howard, regardless if you are in the movie industry, sports or in the business world, people will always talk about the lousy job that was done, but they will always appreicate your talents and your guts for putting it out there.

I think Ron hits it on the head with his discussion of risk. For anybody who really “puts his all” in his/her endeavor, there is a risk of failure in front of your unique “audience”. That risk can be terrifying.
The creative community is unique in that participants understand (especially with a successful director, producer and actor like Ron) that they need to collaborate. Unfortunately, many people don’t understand the need for cooperation and collaboration. They still subscribe to the mentality of “what’s in it for me”.
Thanks, Ron, for your continuing professionalism and modeling the behavior we should all aspire to.
